I very much like the sense of energy to the well-detailed and solidly concentrated broad-shouldered flavors that also need to develop more depth but the underlying material is present such that this should be able to add complexity

Henri Gouges, Nuits Saint Georges Rouge Vintage:2014 The 2001 Barolo Pajana offers(from Les Plateaux, Belle Croix, Les Fleurires, Les Crots and Les Chaillots). A more deeply pitched and markedly earthier nose reveals notes of both red and dark currant along with a hint of the sauvage. The rich, velvety and caressing medium weight flavors are almost easy going and delicate on the delicious and lightly structured finale. This delicious effort is definitely not a classic Nuits but its attractive all the same.
