This one I am pretty sure is meant to be a penguin

maybe originally a spice tin but which has definitely served its announced purpose--I found it full of buttons and will include them if you'd like 'em

There are a few names listed on the reverse side but I haven't been able to definitely locate them

there is just an atmospheric-ness and luminosity about them that is its own very special thing

The paper tag pinned to her dress is partially torn, but certainly read First Communion, and perhaps _ in Venezia (Venice) after that? So perhaps she was made as a souvenir doll, and an incredibly constructed one in any case, with carefully cut paper for her hands, one of which wraps around a fabric candle,
