Lucien Le Moine, Volnay Santenots Vintage:2017 which is not at allOnce again firm reduction dominates the underlying fruit. There is excellent intensity to the tautly muscular, detailed and powerful medium weight flavors that exude a fine minerality onto the lengthy but rather dry finish where the dryness is exacerbated by the abundant gas. Between the reduction and the gas this firmly structured effort is very hard to read and while it may come together that is not a certainty. (89 92?) 2024+
