Published by Hartcourt, Brace and Company, Inc.; 1946. The Pulitzer Prize winning novel was inspired by Louisiana Senator and Governor Huey Long. A clean edition of the book with a previous owners inscription in ink on both the front and rear interior cover pages. Faded gilt spine and bumped, worn corners. No dust jacket.
