Description
with that Manuka honey lingering long on the finish
slightly sweet pear and pit fruit flavors are held firm by a bitter lemon zest quality that packs a real punch
Round yet tightly grained tannins and an incredibly persistent finish
A subtle application of wood frames a ripe but elegant and well-layered nose that consists of aromas of essence of pear
An attractively floral-suffused nose speaks of plum

Otherwise there is excellent volume and mid palate density to the punchy and well detailed medium weight flavors that deliver fine length on the mildly edgy finish. As the description suggests this is on the awkward side but the underlying material is so good that I am optimistic that it will harmonize once it is in bottle. (90 93) 2021+
