I recently found another postcard featuring a baby holding a bottle of spilled ink

not sure if product of a small cut at some point or just worn through with age

I've found a few others online like it

and this one struck me because it seemed ironic that such a bucolic looking boat would be called the Defender

I fell in love with the ink and watercolor drawing on the face of this postcard, which I think just perfectly captures the feeling of farewell, including via the perfectly lonely feeling hand written caption
