The elevated presence of 1er juice clearly shows as this is an excellent villages

cedar and vanilla on the nose

A touch of reduction does not completely undermine the attractiveness of the otherwise pretty red berry fruit and soft earth notes

Domaine Bellene, Nuits Saint Georges Chaignots Vintage:2009 the 2005 Le Carré hasHere the nose is much spicier though its Nuits origins are in evidence as there is plenty of earth present on the blackberry and lightly menthol infused aromas. The mouth coating flavors are seductively textured with excellent volume though the finish is quite firm and moderately rustic with a touch of austerity. This should be excellent in time as there is the necessary mid palate concentration to buffer the tannins. (90 93) 2019+
