While certainly a good effort I was somewhat under-whelmed given the usual standards this wine offers

Good acidity gives the palate length and finesse

this is quite firmly reduced and in need of aeration

This is also completely classic and even more aromatically complex with a plethora of sea shore nuances to the cool green fruit scents

Camille Giroud, Corton Renardes Vintage:2022 balanced and only mildly rusticA brooding and slightly grumpy nose grudgingly reveals its aromas of various dark berries, violet and plenty of sauvage and warm earth scents. The succulent yet powerful larger scaled flavors are not remarkably dense though they dont lack for punch on the vaguely sweet finish. This is perfectly good but not what I would call classic.
