and in great shape to hold the pages of a great American novel yet to be written

It measures 38 1/" tall x 25" wide without fringe and is in excellent vintage condition

II'd guess it dates to the early 20th century and is in very good vintage condition

I am guessing they are quite old

Birch Bark Antique Lidded Box with Leather Pull wood design measures 1 7/8" in diameterThis is a wonderful old birch bark box with a great form and patina, and wonderful scalloped edges around the bark of the exterior, which is wrapped around the box and nicely tucked in at the end. A leather pull on the top with scalloped edge matches. I believe this box would have been used to store tobacco, and I have seen very similar examples described as Native American, primarily dating to the mid to late 19th century. There are a series of X's
