To Celia Woods from Aunt Rena, 1862, Vermont: Perfect Condition Carved Out, Chip Carved Blonde Wood Slide Lid Box with Heart wooden toy boart Quite a moody feeling smallI purchased this box from the same PA dealer as the spruce gum box listed today, and while this is not one of those, I do have the strong feeling it was carved by a logger I could swear I've seen a gum box carved by the same hand as this one, with just the same character and quality of chip carved decoration (and even the rectangular format of the decoration feels as if harkening to the gum book form.) In any case, here we have, happily, a date and
