The deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Roberta's Reserve State Lane Vineyard (100% Merlot) has a totally seductive nose of Indian spices

but it is nothing short of superb

saturated dark ruby

I have also tasted several other examples that have shown similarly if not quite as fresh while meriting scores of between 93 and 94 points

The nose is utterly seductive with its sexy, soft fragrance of spice and sandalwood and medium weight, full, rich flavors and outstanding length. There is excellent acid fruit balance and this is a real stunner.
