Description
around a third less than in an average vintage
This should repay a few years of keeping as it will need time to unwind
It is one of those rare Liracs that will age for 10-15 years
A more deeply pitched nose combines notes of dark berries with those of floral
with a creamy bead to the texture and a base note of minerality
The Hilt, Old Guard Chardonnay Vintage:2010 around a third less than(55% fruit from Sanford & Benedict vineyard and 45% from Solomon Hills vineyard), Pale gold. Musky, heady aromas of yellow plum, poached pear, lemon pith and iodine. Pliant and creamy in texture, with a restrained sweetness to its deep orchard and citrus fruit flavors. Finishes spicy and long, with a smoky mineral nuance adding bite. Josh Raynolds
