The paper was folding in thirds at some point but the fold lines are really not visible at all

I'm always admiring old hetchel

with light wear and some spotting to the wood on one side

and with a wonderful presence

but perfect for erases to all sorts of other little things

I love the extreme folkiness of this chief, who I find quite tenderly done, reminding me more of a santos than a "Cigar Store Indian," including for the painted expression on his face. Most of all, though, I love those little feet! Deeply carved and polychromed, with a fantastic warm patina. 11 3 4" t x 3 7 8" w x 2 1 8" d.
