Description
The vineyard is in Torroja where the soils are slate and for Dominik slate works better with Cariñena
It has a medium to deep ruby color with scents of blackcurrant
the wine serves up its round
plum and soft floral nuances that are trimmed in a touch of wood
The big-bodied flavors possess a bit more size
Lingua Franca, Avni Chardonnay Vintage:2019 The vineyard is in TorrojaFull bottle 1,345 g. Entry level blend sourced 60% from the volcanic soils of Eola Amity Hills including Bunker Hill vineyard, 32% from Van Duzer Corridor and 8% from Chehalem. A rather humid growing season and vintage. Broad and spicy with excellent acidity but perhaps not that much depth. Lots to chew on on the end. A certain lemon cough drop quality to this. Still quite chewy on the end, which comes a little suddenly.
