Old vines are wonderful but that factor makes for very tiny production which makes this one of the most highly-allocated wines in our entire portfolio
Tasting Note: A cloudy ruby in the glass with layers of cherry pit and plum
2024 Max Kilburg Goldtropfchen Riesling Kabinett, Mosel, Germany 1.5L Magnum Ulli Stein and animalsThe Goldtrpfchen is the warmer vineyard, yet somehow the wine presents more linear (these basic notes as per Ohligsberg and Goldtrpfchen hold true with the expressions of Julian Haart as well, which is fascinating) the tones here are a bit brighter and stone fruited; it is also characteristically spiced and herbal, simply piercing and lithe.
