The long finish lingers with with more herbs than flowers & more mineral expression than fruit
The wines are produced on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the town of Cobquecura
2019 Raul Perez 'Las Gundiñas' Lomas de Valtuille Bierzo, Spain Peru It's got a bit ofLas Gundias was planted in 1910 on clay intermixed with some limestone (uncommon in Valtuille) Mostly Menca with some Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet), Bastardo (Trousseau), and a relatively high percentage of Doa Blanca Fermented with whole clusters and a long post fermentation maceration raised for one year in used 225L and 500L barrels bottled without fining or filtration
